Delve into a world of superstition with Salt & Mirrors & Cats…
I’m so delighted to be in this gorgeous literary zine bursting with short stories, poems, non-fiction, artwork and photography. It’s a spell-binding collection of work, beautifully woven together to create something you’ll be sure to treasure.

My flash fiction piece, The Gleam and Glint, is inspired by a superstition that originated from Orkney: the custom to cover all mirrors in the house when someone dies so the spirit won’t get confused and trapped. But what happens when a mirror is left uncovered?
I reach for it, yearning – for we always yearn for the moon, no matter how treacherous – and I am caught. My mirror. Hung amongst the shadows of the wall.
